What is a release output delay function?
Voltage Detectors (Reset ICs)Function
A release output delay function requires a certain period of time to release the reset state even after a higher voltage than the release voltage is applied. It keeps the reset state against a spike noise exceeding the release voltage if the voltage returns to its own state within the release delay time.
There are two methods to generate a release output delay time: the external capacitor type and the internal counter type (internally fixed type). The external capacitor type is able to adjust the delay time by the capacitance of an external capacitor; instead, it requires external components and large mounting space. On the other hand, the internally fixed type cannot adjust the time, but has the merit of achieving the function without any external components.
Reset ICs can be classified by products with and without a release output delay function.

External Capacitor Type of Delay Function
Our reset ICs feature the high accuracy of the reset delay time, suppressing the variations of the reset delay time configured by external capacitance. Also, thanks to the high accuracy, even the start-up sequence can be easily configured with a short time difference.
