What is the recommended pattern width of NJL5820R.

For the NJL5820R, the datasheet states that the recommended pattern width is 0.25 mm. On the other hand, the resolution is written as 50.8 LPI. If the resolution is 50.8 LPI, the pattern width is 0.5 mm. What is the relationship between these two? Also, what is the recommended pattern width range? This is frequently asked question.

The NJL5820R has a resolution of 50.8 LPI (Line Per Inch), so it outputs 50.8 pulses per 1 inch (25.4 mm).
In other words, the length of 1 pulse (= 1 cycle) is 25.4 mm / 50.8 = 0.5 mm and the pattern width (reflection/non-reflection) is 0.25 mm / 0.25 mm.
