What is the Quiescent current (the CONTROL terminal voltage (Vcont) = 0V) of the NJM2387 ?

LDO Linear RegulatorsSpec

The Quiescent current (Vcont=0V) vs. Input voltage characteristics of NJM2387_10V (typ. sample) is shown in Figure 1.

  • NJM2387 Quiescent Current vs. Input Voltage

Fig.1 NJM2387 Quiescent Current vs. Input Voltage

  • NJM2387A Control Current vs. Control Voltage

Fig.2 NJM2387A Control Current vs. Control Voltage

The internal circuit configuration of the NJM2387 ON/OFF control block is different from other products. In this product, When an input voltage is applied and Vcont becomes low, current flows from the Vin terminal through the internal circuit and out of the CONT terminal. Therefore, the Quiescent current (Vcont = 0V) is large.

If you would like a product that has the same performance as NJM2387 but has a small Quiescent current(OFF), please consider "NJM2387A".
