Action Plan under the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace and the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children
Our company has formulated an action plan to create a work environment that is comfortable for all employees, enabling them to balance work and private life and fully demonstrate their abilities.

- Goal 1: Increase the ratio of female managers to 5% or more.*2
- From April 2025 – Conduct training for female employees in positions just below managerial level to encourage motivation for promotion.
- From April 2025 – Implement training and revise systems to make it easier to balance work and private life.
- Goal 2: Achieve an average annual paid leave utilization rate of 70% or more.*2
- From April 2025 – Share information via the company portal to promote the use of annual paid leave.
- From April 2025 – Provide line managers with data on annual paid leave usage.
- Goal 3: Achieve a childcare leave acquisition rate of 50% or more among male employees during the plan period.*3
- From April 2025 – Prepare and distribute materials to promote childcare leave for men.
- From April 2025 – Post testimonials from employees who have taken childcare leave on the company portal to foster a supportive culture.
- From April 2025 – Conduct training for managers.
- Goal 4: By the fiscal year that includes the plan’s end date, ensure that the average monthly statutory overtime and holiday work hours for full-time employees is less than 30 hours, and that there are zero employees with an average of 60 or more hours of statutory overtime per month.*3

Acquisition of the Highest Level (Stage 3) “Eruboshi” Certification under the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has obtained the highest level, Stage 3, of the “Eruboshi” certification under the certification system based on the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, as a company that actively promotes women’s participation. This certification is granted to companies that meet the national standards in all five evaluation categories: recruitment, continued employment, working hours and work styles, ratio of women in managerial positions, and diverse career paths.
At our company, we regularly conduct training programs to support career development for female employees, such as leadership training for women and sessions addressing women-specific health issues. Furthermore, from the perspective of ensuring psychological safety in the workplace and respecting human rights, we engage in human rights due diligence activities and foster a corporate culture that values diversity through Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) training.
In addition, we are committed to creating an environment where everyone can work with peace of mind by implementing systems that support work-life balance, mechanisms that encourage autonomous career development, and flexible HR policies that accommodate diverse work styles. These initiatives aim to realize a workplace where all employees, regardless of gender, can thrive.
Going forward, we will further enhance support for work styles tailored to different life stages and continue to develop a work environment where each individual can maximize their potential. We will fulfill our corporate responsibility to help create a society where women and other diverse talents can actively participate.

Certification for Companies Promoting Women’s Participation
Participation in the “Sainokuni Women Researchers and Engineers Network” Hosted by Saitama University
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. participates in the “Sainokuni Women Researchers and Engineers Network,” organized by Saitama University and comprising companies, research institutions, and universities mainly active in Saitama Prefecture. This network promotes initiatives such as creating a work environment conducive to women researchers and engineers, fostering the next-generation researchers and engineers, advancing diversity across the Saitama region, and holding seminars aimed at promoting women’s participation. Through these activities, the network seeks to accelerate and invigorate research and technological development by leveraging diverse perspectives and ideas, in collaboration with participating organizations. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen cooperation both inside and outside the company and contribute to promoting diversity throughout the Saitama region.

Support for the Active Participation of Persons with Disabilities
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. established a Social Office at the Kawagoe Plant in June 2017 and at the Ikeda Office on June 1, 2024. In these Social Offices, teams of individuals with disabilities actively engage in light tasks such as digitizing documents, shredding, and sorting products for various workplaces.

In May 2022, we also launched the NISD Farm in the area surrounding the Kawagoe Plant. The farm grows seasonal vegetables without pesticides and supplies them to the company cafeteria, contributing to employees’ health and well-being. Examples of Activities:
