NJR to launch a new GNSS LNA NJG1187 with industry-leading*1 high gain and low NF that is suitable to high-precision positioning
Nisshinbo Micro Device (NJR) has developed a high gain dual stage LNA " NJG1187 " for GNSS, and entered mass production.
General Description
NJG1187 is an industry-leading high gain and low NF (Noise Figure) Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) designed for GNSS applications.
In recent years, Multi-GNSS support that receives signals from 1.1 to 1.2 GHz band (1164-1300 MHz) and in addition to the conventional 1.5 GHz band (1559 to 1610 MHz) is required for high-precision positioning in self-driving cars and so on.
The NJG1187KG1 is available to tune for the corresponding frequency by changing only value of external parts and realize high gain, low NF in each band of 1.1 to 1.5GHz.
This LNA is also available to place a filter between the two LNA stages in order to realize high attenuation without degradation of NF for receiver sensitivity.
It can be used for various applications such as car antennas and GNSS modules.

Features
■ Realize high gain and low NF in each band of GNSS system
The NJG1187KG1 is available to tune for the corresponding frequency by changing only value of external parts and realize high gain of over 30dB, low NF of about 0.6dB in each band of 1.1 to 1.5GHz.
It supports Multi-GNSS required for high-precision positioning and contributes to improving the receiver sensitivity of GNSS receiver and shortening the positioning time.
■ Improve circuit design flexibility
Since the first and second stage LNA of the NJG1187KG1 are matched outside the package, it is available to place a filter between the two LNA stages (Figure 2). Compared with a front filter in the first stage of the NJG1187, it can restrain degradation of NF.
You can flexibly change the circuit configuration according to the required characteristics.
