- Achieves the Industry's Highest Level of Low Current Consumption -
Starts Sample Sales of the NT1195, a Low Current Consumption, Broadband LNA for GNSS

Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. started sample sales of the NT1195, a low current consumption, broadband low noise amplifier (LNA) for GNSS that achieves the industry's highest level*1 of low current consumption, on April 23, 2024.

There are many global environmental issues that need to be addressed. One of the most important is the reduction of power consumption. Nisshinbo Micro Devices contributes to the realization of a sustainable society by focusing on the development of low current consumption products.

The NT1195, now available for sample sales, achieves an industry-leading low current consumption of 1.9 mA over the entire GNSS bandwidth (1164 MHz to 1610 MHz), as well as low NF and high gain characteristics.
It comes in a small 1.1 mm x 0.7 mm package. It is ideal for applications that require small size and low power consumption, such as wearable devices like smartwatches and health bands.

Features

1. Achieves Both Low Power Consumption and Low NF, High Gain Characteristics

This product achieves a low NF of 0.7 dB and a high gain characteristic of 18 dB with an ultra-low power consumption of 1.9 mA thanks to our proprietary technology developed over many years.
The current consumption is reduced by 60% or more compared to our conventional LNA products, enabling longer battery life in low power applications such as portable equipment. In addition, the low NF and high gain characteristics contribute to improving the receiver sensitivity of equipment.

2. Supports Multi-Band GNSS and Comes in a Small Package

As a LNA for multi-band GNSS, this product achieves low NF and flat, high gain characteristics in all GNSS bands (1164 MHz to 1610 MHz) with the same external components. This product can be flexibly designed to meet the configuration requirements of the equipment where it is installed (see the block diagrams of Figures 1 and 2 below).
In addition, since this product can support all GNSS bands on its own, it helps to reduce the number of components used and the mounting area.
