The Nisshinbo Group established three-year targets in its sustainability promotion plan and is promoting initiatives throughout the entire group, both in Japan and overseas, to achieve these targets. While all employees work toward their goals, we aim to monitor progress using KPIs*1 and further enhance the quality of activities to achieve even better results.
*1 KPIs: Key Performance Indicators, numerical representation of the degree to which a goal has been achieved.

The Nisshinbo Group has established the Group Sustainability Promotion Council, which is headed by the Managing Officer and includes Sustainability Promotion Managers and other members from each business group, to promote sustainability initiatives across the entire group based on its corporate governance system. In addition to formulating policies, key action items, and KPls, the Council regularly shares information on the status of implementation and issues. Specific activities are carried out mainly by individual expert committees.

The Nisshinbo Group regards respect for human rights as a fundamental principle of its management and established the “Human Rights Policy” in August 2023. This policy is positioned as the highest-level guideline for addressing human rights in our business activities. We respect the human rights of all stakeholders, including employees, business partners, and local communities, and contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through human rights due diligence.

In addition to the Nisshinbo Group’s company-wide initiatives to promote understanding, the Nisshinbo Micro Devices Group has carried out its own training programs and measures to further deepen awareness and engagement.
- For deepening understandings on human rights due diligence, we Nisshinbo Micro Devices Group conducted not only the Nisshinbo-Group-wide training sessions but also our own training using our Learning management System.
- For awareness activities, we published on the intranet a video announcing and recognizing the results of the human rights slogan contest, and reinforced communication of the Human Rights Policy.
External Evaluation
The Nisshinbo Micro Devices Group is committed to sustainability initiatives and has received evaluations and certifications from domestic and international ESG rating agencies.
Rated “Silver” in EcoVadis’ sustainability assessment
The Nisshinbo Micro Devices Group has received a “Silver” rating in the sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis, an internationally recognized rating agency headquartered in France. This Silver rating is awarded to companies that rank within the top 15% among more than 150,000 companies across 185 countries and 250 industries worldwide. Our group will continue to focus on the four key areas of “Environment,” “Labor and Human Rights,” “Ethics,” and “Sustainable Procurement,” and remain committed to contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
Certified as a “KENKO Investment for Health 2025”
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has been certified as a “KENKO Investment for Health 2025” in the Large Enterprise Category under the certification program designed by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and selected by Nippon KENKO Kaigi (the Japan Health Conference).
Certified as an “Eruboshi” company promoting women’s empowerment
Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. has obtained the third-level “Eruboshi” certification under the Act on Promotion of Women’s Participation and Advancement in the Workplace, as a company that meets the highest standards set by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare for initiatives promoting women’s empowerment.
