Description
The R5668 is one-cell Li-ion / Li-polymer rechargeable battery protection IC features overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, and a short-circuit current protector. The R5668 further includes temperature protections, standby mode and forced standby mode. It is possible to detect the temperature by connecting a thermistor. The COUT and DOUT pins with CMOS output driver are normally High. When the R5668 detects any abnormal condition to stop charging or discharging, either the COUT or the DOUT pin becomes Low. In the abnormal temperature condition only, both of them may become Low.
