For 4K and 8K Satellite TV Tuners, Wideband LNA (Low Noise Amplifier)
The NJG1188KG1 is the industry's first*1 broadband LNA to support a bandwidth from 950 MHz to 2 GHz for conventional Broadcasting Satellite (BS) and Communications Satellite (CS) services, and full bandwidth from 2 GHz to 3.2 GHz for 4K and 8K broadcasting satellite services (advanced BS and CS).
*1 Based on Nisshinbo Micro Devices Inc. research, as of August 2023.
The product features low distortion and high gain characteristics in the wide bandwidth from 950 MHz to 3.2 GHz. This helps improve the receiver sensitivity of TVs, TV tuners and other devices equipped with the product.
In addition, instead of using two conventional LNAs, one for the BS and CS bandwidth and the other for the advanced BS and CS bandwidth, a single NJG1188 can handle these. This reduces the number of components, simplifies the circuit design, and reduces the mounting area.
Features
1. High Gain and Low Distortion Characteristics over a Wide Bandwidth
In conventional circuits, while each LNA receives the conventional broadcasting satellite bandwidth from 950 to 2150 MHz and the advanced BS and CS bandwidth from 2150 to 3224 MHz, the NJG1188KG1 can support the full bandwidth from 950 to 3224 MHz.
In general, gain and distortion characteristics deteriorate with wider bandwidth, but our proprietary technology has achieved both high gain (Gain) and low distortion (IIP3) characteristics over wide bandwidth. This contributes to improved receiver sensitivity.
2. Reduction in the Number of Components
This single product can receive signals across the full bandwidth from 950 to 3224 MHz.
Compared to the conventional circuit configuration, this configuration eliminates diplexers and reduces the number of LNAs by one. As the results, this product contributes to reducing the number of components, simplifying the circuit design, and reducing the mounting area.
