Is there any IC which is not to stop applications but to make them operate normally even when the coin cell or air cell is inserted in reverse?

Switch ICsHow to use

We have a rectifier switch IC named the R5590, which can output a constant polarity regardless of the polarity of the input voltage.

The IC outputs the positive voltage from its positive output pin and the negative voltage from its negative output pin correctly, by switching over the internal switch according to the input polarity of IN1 and IN2.

It is used in applications whose battery is detachable and can be reversely inserted by users. Using the R5590 eliminates the limitation of the insert direction of batteries or connectors, and even protects application from damage caused by reverse insertion. Absolute maximum current rating is around 400mA, therefore the R5590 is suitable for the small batteries such as coin cells and air cells.
