What is shipping mode? In what kind of applications is the mode used?

Reset Timer ICsFunction

The R3201 has a shipping mode function.

The shipping mode function is used for reducing battery consumption by cutting off the current path to the system at its OFF state. Especially, battery powered portable products require this function to suppress the battery power consumption after manufacturing until delivery to the end user. Just before shipping, manufactures can set the "shipping mode" to cut off the current path with an external MOSFET, and reduce the invalid current and battery power consumption can be largely suppressed.
This shipping mode can be released by long press of the specified key (button) or connecting an adapter.
