In what order should I connect the input pins of a Li-ion battery second protection IC? How does an erroneous connection order affect the IC and the system?

Lithium-ion Battery Protection ICsHow to use

Basically, connect the SC protector to the cell lastly if you use it.
When the SC protector is mounted on a protection circuit in advance, connect the negative terminal of the lowest-voltage cell to the IC first, and then connect lower-side terminals to the IC in ascending order of voltage.

An erroneous connection order may damage the protection IC itself or cause malfunction such as fuse (SC protector) cutting.
Also, we are planning to develop Li-ion battery protection ICs whose pins can connect to battery cell’s terminals in any order.

If you still have questions.
